Some weeks ago, the world was shocked by the News of Bruce Jenner’s transition to a woman.

Bruce Jenner is a Reality Star of the TV Show ' Keeping up with the Kardashians and a former Athlete.  He is also an Olympic gold medalist and three time divorcee. 

His first marriage to Christie Scott produced two children namely Burton and Cassandra. His marriage to Linda Thompson gave him two sons namely Brandon and Brody and finally from his recent divorce from Kris Jenner he has Kendall and Kylie.

Bruce Jenner was always lay back and controlled by Kris Jenner, his wife then and the mother of the Kardashians sisters, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe. He was supposed to be the Man in the Family, the head of the Family like we say in Africa but he was always silent and detached. I dont really like watching the reality tv show because that wife of his is a manipulative and domineering woman. Who knows maybe the strong trait he saw in Kris made him to want to be a woman. Just saying.

To some in the entertainment industry, its cool but to me its weird and ungodly.

God created him a man. The Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. We are God's beautiful Creation. God cant be wrong with him. He has been fulfilled as a man. He has married 3 women, and fathered 6 children. What else does he want?  Why did he waits for 65 years before deciding the way God created him was wrong? This is insane.

Transgender involve a partial or full reversal of gender. So Bruce has transgendered, what happens if tomorrow he does not like to be a woman again?  From interviews and discussions on the show, he said he was suffering inside, She said she has had to deal  with gender dysphoria since youth. So from all intents and purposes he was a woman in a man garb. But it did not look like that to me. He had married 3 times apart from other women he had dated as a man. The last marriage lasted 25 years. 

I think this celebrity status emboldened him too to embark on this change.

As the show KUWTK progresses, he started distancing himself by moving out from his house claiming his former wife, Kris was unbearable and overbearing. Although he was not the only that started distancing himself, Rob did too but Bruce caused  concern among his children. His children Brody and Brandon are now regulars on the show so one would have expected him to be featured on each episode but this was not the case.

 Now Brandon, Brody, Kendall and Kylie his biological children: Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, step children have 2 mothers,  Although he is being celebrated by all when the change was made public including President Barack Obama  who wrote on his twitter account "It takes courage to share your story", It against God doctrine. My Church will say this is a deliverance case.

Lupita Nyong'o - breakout performance

The 86th Academy Awards held on Sunday, 2nd March 2014  ended, with "12 Years a Slave" winning the best picture of the year. The movie won the night's biggest prize for best picture and 2 other awards including best supporting actress where my interest was. Although "Gravity” took home most of the awards including the Best Actor,  all the technical awards, including best visual effects and sound editing, the joy that Lupita an African won in the supporting category was overwhelming. It would have been nice if Chinwetal won for Best Actor but since he didnt, it was still great that a cast member won.



It was a beautiful night full of expectations, suspense and surprises. Though the Best Actor went to gravity which was well deserved, was glad that Lupita won the supporting act. I watched her in the television series - SHUGA years back and was impressed with her interpretation of her role as the carefree, fun loving but hardworking young lady. I knew she was going places but did not see her for a while. The first thing i noticed about her is the colour of her skin. I am a woman of colour like the American would say but Lupita's colour is something else. I was just laughing when i read the speech she made when she was accepting her honor for best breakout performance at Essence magazine's seventh annual Women in Hollywood luncheon. She confessed that as a young girl, she had wished her dark-coloured skin would become lighter.

I got teased and taunted about my skin. My one prayer to God was that I would wake up lighter skinned. The morning would come and I would be so excited about seeing my new skin that I would refuse to look down at myself until I was in front of the mirror because I wanted to see my face first. Every day I would feel the disappointment of being just as dark as the day before."

Nyong'o said she tried to bargain with God by vowing to stop eating sugar cubes and to never lose her school sweater again, if she could only see a change in her skin tone. It wasn't until she discovered Sudanese British supermodel Alek Wek that she began to believe in her own beauty. She continued

She was dark as night and was in all the magazines and on runways, My complexion had always been an obstacle to overcome. I couldn't believe that people were embracing a woman who looked so much like me as beautiful. It was perplexing and I wanted to reject it because I had begun to enjoy the seduction of inadequacy. But a flower couldn't help but bloom inside of me.

Nyong'o said she would also like to inspire young women.

"I hope that my presence on your screen and my face in magazines may lead you, young girls, on a beautiful journey,". "That you will feel the validation of your external beauty, but also get to the deeper business of being beautiful inside.

Thank God she learnt to accept herself the way she is. Its not the colour that determines the personality or character like Martin Luther King stated in his famous speech but the intellect and upbringing. And for me Christianity also plays a major role in shaping one's character and personality.

Some critics claimed Lupita just spoke few words and appeared in few scenes compared to other cast members but I think she acted her scenes so well that you felt what she was feeling. It's beautiful that among the whole lot, she was nominated and eventually won the OSCAR. I hope some of the aspiring actresses all over the world will belief in themselves and improve on their crafts and not give excuses about the colour of their skin.

Cheating husbands

Yesterday, Thursday 18th of March 2010, I saw the headline of one of the breaking news on the Internet 'Have Sandra Bullock and Jesse James split up?' The news went further to hint that she is currently living apart from home.
I quickly went straight to read that news because Sandra Bullock is one of my favourite actresses. I love her acting and her portrayal of any character she is casted. My favourite is MISS CONGENIALITY. She acted it with ease and fun. Any movie that she is starring in immediately becomes a must watch for me. I used to listen to WHITNEY HOUSTON music and watch movies she stares in. I always look forward to her sultry voice and great performances in concerts. Lately the allegation of drug abuse has not helped her and her performances have lost that spark and confidence. Well she has released a new album lets hope the old Whitney would be back. She too had suffered so much from the young man she married. Bobby Brown has cheated on her severally but she stayed till now. She is a great lady too.
Back to Sandra Bullock, why would the husband cheat on such a sweet and wonderful woman like her with a tart? The tabloid said James cheated on her with a porn star called MICHELLE MCGEE. The tattoo model called herself the bombshell. Why did she not look for another home to bomb? Why Sandra's. As the story goes, the model got in touch with Jesse James West Coast Chopper Motorcycle Company for a modelling job and got lucky. ( Was she lucky or was it a planned job)? James personally replied and a meeting was fixed. She claimed they hit it off from there while the wife was working in Atlanta.
If you asked me, the mother of two knew all about Jesse James and the beautiful Sandra Bullock. She wanted a spring board for her career and James fell into the well planned act. If its true that Bullock husband could not resist that washed up prostitute, then it is unfortunate.
There is an ongoing night gowns advertisement on E and one was recommended for long married couple like Sandra Bullock. The marriage looked solid enough because since their marriage in 2005, there has not been negative report about the couple. Maybe that is why the porn star dropped that bombshell to scatter the beautiful union.
At the Oscars, Jesse James was by Sandra's side and even said she took his breath away. I guess it was guilt. He looked and wondered why he romped his office with half a woman when he has such a diva as a wife.
That show of togetherness at the OSCARS was it to say sorry and forgive me? What ever it was, i wish they would forgive one another and go back together.
It hurts anyway. I remember when i saw a lady called Vivian sent a message to my husband that she loves him very much. I was hurt. Thank God i am a christian. i forgave him but i have not totally forgotten. Once in a while, my mind wold go to that issue. I still want to see the lady to find out if she is more beautiful than me. This is not being vain but being human and a woman too. I know she is younger and an undergraduate but sophisticated? Till then
